Chair people are needed for the following activities at the 2013 Church of the Holy Family Bazaar: Kid’s Games, Clean Up, and Friend Oreos/Snickers. A co-chair is also needed for Bingo. Please call the parish office to volunteer or for more details at 754-1266.
Theme baskets at our last parish bazaar were a success! Perhaps you would like to donate a basket this year. Baskets can be donated from individuals, parish and/or community groups, businesses, and even from groups of friends and neighbors.
I am happy to report that our cash receipts for the Bazaar amounted to $79,500 which is $13,500 or 21% more than what we collected in 2011. Those selling signs contributed an additional $2,400 or 14.1% and baskets increased by $2,700 or 162% more than the previous year. Tickets increased $5,300 or 15%. The only area that was down from the prior year was the casino tent which was just about $350 or 9% less than last year.

We would like to thank all of the parishioners who were so generous in donating items for us to sell. We actually ran out of room to put the item. We want to thank everyone who did set up, pricing, selling and especially clean up. All remaining items were donated to various organizations. A total of over 600 hours were worked by volunteers to make this sale a success. Thanks to everyone.

Calling all bakers! Pies cakes, breads, brownies, cupcakes, cookies and other treats are needed for sale at the Bazaar. Whip up your favorite recipe and support this delicious fundraiser! Pleasae, NO items that require refrigeration. Baked goods can be dropped off anytime after 9 AM on Friday, August 24 or Saturday, August 25. Thank you!

Now is the time to start cleaning out that storage room, garage or attic. The White Elephant appreciates all you have donated over the past years. As you do your summer cleaning, please set aside all the items you want to donate again this year. We will start taking donated items on Monday, August 20 at 9 AM in the church hall. Remember we cannot accept the following items: tires, bowling balls, encyclopedias, school books, reference books, shoes or clothing.
